Mariah KiddM.S. Student
she/her Research interests: Exploring microbial interactions within the soil microbiome, particularly those surrounding nematodes. Bio: Mariah is a Masters student in Plant Pathology. She is originally from Graham, North Carolina where she received a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.S. in Plant Biology from North Carolina State University. Mariah's research goal is to improve agricultural management strategies by furthering the knowledge base of microbial interactions within the soil. She discovered this interest while enrolled in a soil science class and working in a plant evolution and ecology lab. She found joy in learning the complexities of the soil environment and continues to find joy exploring it. When not in the lab, Mariah enjoys rock climbing, working on embroidery projects, and reading. |
